Great Portable Oil Heater for Renters:As someone who’s renting, I wanted a portable oil heater in Australia that was easy to move and effective. This oil heater has been a great choice. It performs well as an energy efficient heater for larger rooms.One small downside is that, like most oil heaters, it takes a little time to warm up initially. Very handsome piece, and easy to operate. Sadly the looks are not backed up by its heating performance. We bought two, one for a double bedroom and one for a single room. In neither case does the top temperature heat the room to an adequate snugness. It does take the chill off the room, but that's all. I moved one to a smaller room (study) and it works well. So, inadequate for our original needs, but good for smaller spaces. We don't use the timer function, but nice to have. Really appreciated the remote coming with batteries.

I will never ever buy a Bonaire product again! I bought this heater because it has a remote control (I have mobility issues, so this would have been essential), it arrived with no instruction manual and a remote control that does not work, so I rang Bonaire support and was treated like dirt. The 'Manual Download' button on the website does not work, the support number listed is incorrect and when I rang I was told rudely that it was not the right phone number and they gave me another number to ring. I rang 10 times over several hours and they never picked up once. I give up, I am returning to Amazon for a refund and will buy another brand.
